What this document is

“Solicitud del bono social” is the form of Energía XXI Comercializadora de Referencia (Endesa group) for the social discount on the electricity bill. The discount is set by the state (Real Decreto 897/2017), and the application goes to the regulated supplier (comercializadora de referencia) you have a PVPC contract with.

According to Energía XXI as of 2026-10-09, “vulnerable” customers get a 42.5% discount and “severely vulnerable” ones 57.5%, within an annual consumption limit. Each comercializadora de referencia has its own form: this one is only for Energía XXI customers.

Who applies and where

  • the holder of the electricity contract — a private individual, the home is their habitual residence, with a PVPC contract with Energía XXI (or agreeing to switch to it);
  • one of the grounds: household income not above the threshold (1.5 × IPREM in 14 payments — €12,600 a year for 2026 according to Energía XXI, plus an increase per household member), large family, minimum pension for everyone with income, or the Ingreso Mínimo Vital;
  • submit by e-mail to bonosocial@energiaxxi.com, through the Energía XXI website or app, by post to Apartado de correos 1167, 41080 Sevilla, or at a company office;
  • the holder and every household member over 14 sign the form.

What the form asks

Seven pages: holder's details, home address and CUPS code, phones and e-mail, postal address (if different), whether you live alone or with family, a household table with NIF/NIE and relationship, grounds (large family, IMV, pensioners, special circumstances), three consents to data checks, place and date. Pages 4 and 7 are for reference: list of documents and requirements.

What to bring

  • copies of the DNI/NIE of the holder and of every household member over 14;
  • the family book (libro de familia) or birth and marriage certificates; for unmarried couples, the pareja de hecho registration certificate;
  • a current certificate of municipal registration (certificado de empadronamiento) for the whole household;
  • the large-family certificate (título de familia numerosa) if you tick that ground;
  • a social-services certificate for special circumstances (a single parent with a minor gives the libro de familia and padrón instead); proof of the IMV if you tick that ground;
  • a copy of your latest electricity bill showing the CUPS (Energía XXI recommends attaching it).

How to fill it in with FoxDocs

  1. Tell the chat who lives with you and which ground for the discount applies.
  2. Check the data: the chat places it in the form's boxes; the holder's name is repeated on pages 1, 2 and 6.
  3. Download the PDF, sign it with household members over 14 and send it to Energía XXI with the documents.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this form if my supplier is not Energía XXI?

No. The bono social is granted only by the regulated supplier (comercializadora de referencia) you have a PVPC contract with, and each has its own form. This one is only for Energía XXI.

Do I have to be the contract holder?

Yes. The application is filed by the holder of the home's electricity contract. If the contract is in someone else's name, change the holder first.

Can a foreign resident get the discount?

The form asks for a NIF or NIE for the holder and every household member over 14. Nationality is not listed as a condition on the form, but the home must be your habitual residence and the contract in your name.

Who goes in the household table?

People living with you at the same address: your spouse or registered partner (pareja de hecho) and relatives up to the second degree — children, parents, in-laws, grandchildren, siblings — and children in foster care.

Do I have to give the consents?

Yes, for the income check (and the pension or IMV check if you ticked those). Without consent Energía XXI cannot verify the requirements and the discount will not be granted.

Where do I find the CUPS code?

On the electricity bill; you can also ask the distribution company. “ES” is already printed on the form, you write the rest. You may leave the CUPS out and attach a copy of the bill instead.

When does the discount start and for how long?

Per the form, from the billing cycle in which the complete application is received, on the next bill issued at least 15 working days later. It lasts two years (large families: while the certificate is valid); then you apply again.
