What this document is
NJ.2 (แบบ นจ.2, "Application Form for bringing foreign worker to work with employer in the Kingdom of Thailand") is an employer's application to the Thai Department of Employment (Ministry of Labour) to bring foreign workers under the intergovernmental memorandum of understanding (MOU). This version is for Myanmar nationals.
Together with NJ.2, FoxDocs fills in the second page of the official package — the power of attorney (หนังสือแต่งตั้ง) by which the employer authorises an agency in Myanmar to recruit the workers. Item 2 of the application refers to it.
Who files it and where
- the employer (a company or an individual) or its authorised representative files and signs it;
- it is filed with the Department of Employment office for the place of work (an area office in Bangkok, a provincial office elsewhere);
- check the exact procedure, fees and processing time with the office.
What the form asks for
- employer: name, type of business, address, telephone, fax;
- agency in Myanmar: name, address, date of the power of attorney (the power of attorney also shows the licence number);
- how many workers and for which work (labourer, domestic worker, mechanic on a fishing vessel, other), split into men and women;
- age, height and weight requirements, address of the place of work;
- period of employment, wage per day or per month, working hours, weekly holiday, annual leave and official holidays;
- immigration checkpoint of entry and the province of the post-arrival training centre.
What else is in the official package
- an employment contract template for Myanmar nationals;
- power of attorney forms for a representative;
- the employment certification (บต.46 / WP.46) and a work permit application;
- sample request letters.
Which of them and which copies of the employer's documents you need — check with the Department of Employment office. FoxDocs fills in the employment contract and WP.46 as separate documents.
Which language to use
The form is bilingual, with Thai and English columns. FoxDocs prints the same value in Latin capital letters in both columns; the year in the Thai column is in the Buddhist Era (พ.ศ.), in the English column Gregorian. Ask the office in advance whether Latin script is accepted in the Thai column.
How to fill it in with FoxDocs
- Open the chat on this page and write in any language how many workers you are hiring and for what work.
- Answer the questions about the company, the agency in Myanmar, the place and terms of work.
- Check the fields and download the PDF.
- Print it, sign the application and the power of attorney, apply the company seal and file it with the Department of Employment together with the documents.
