What this document is

TA.2/S Simplificado («Solicitud de baja del trabajador/a por cuenta ajena o asimilado/a») is a simplified form of the Spanish General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS) for one case only: an employee stops working (baja). According to its instructions, it is used for deregistration requests.

Registering a new employee (alta) or changing data requires the full TA.2/S form.

Who files it and where

  • the employer files it — the company or individual the employee worked for;
  • it is addressed to the TGSS Provincial Directorate or Administration where the worker’s alta was filed (Real Decreto 84/1996, art. 32.2);
  • employers connected to the RED system can report the baja online; the paper form is printed, signed, stamped and filed with TGSS.

Deadline under Real Decreto 84/1996 (art. 32.3, current text in the BOE as of 2026-10-09): the baja is filed within 6 calendar days after the work ends.

What the form asks

  • employee details: surnames and first name, Social Security number (NSS), date of birth, identity document, e-mail and mobile;
  • reason for and date of the baja;
  • end date of unused paid holidays — if they were paid out on leaving;
  • employer: name, Social Security scheme, contribution account code (CCC), address box by box and phone.

What to bring

  • the employee’s identity document (DNI, foreigner card with NIE; passport only for EU, EEA and Swiss citizens);
  • proof that the work ended (dismissal letter, end-of-contract notice or the employee’s resignation);
  • proof of authority if a representative files for the employer.

Check the exact list for your case with TGSS. If something is missing, TGSS asks for it to be completed within 10 days (the «Subsanación» part on page 3).

How to fill it in with FoxDocs

Tell the chat who is leaving, from what date and why. FoxDocs asks only the questions needed, splits the dates and the employer’s address into the boxes, and repeats the NSS, CCC, employer and baja date on the receipt and copy on page 3. Values are printed in capitals, as the form instructions require.

Frequently asked questions

How is the simplified TA.2/S different from the full one?

The simplified form is for deregistration (baja) only and asks fewer questions. Registration (alta) and data changes need the full TA.2/S.

Who files the form?

The employer, who signs and stamps it. The employee is entered in section 1 as the insured person.

How long is there to file the baja?

6 calendar days after the work ends — under the current text of Real Decreto 84/1996, art. 32.3 (checked in the BOE on 2026-10-09).

Where is it filed?

With the TGSS Provincial Directorate or Administration where the worker’s alta was filed (Real Decreto 84/1996, art. 32.2).

What goes in the unused holidays box?

Only if unused holidays were paid out on leaving: the date that holiday period ends. Otherwise leave it empty.

Do I need to fill in page 3?

FoxDocs repeats the NSS, CCC, employer and baja date there. Write the worker’s name in the copies by hand; the «Subsanación y/o mejora requerida» part is filled in by TGSS.

How long does a decision take?

According to the form, up to 45 days from registration of the application; if there is no answer by then, the application may be deemed approved.
