How to fill in Brazil entry (resident) declaration: your options

FoxDocs is one of several ways. Choose the one that suits your case.

  • Official route

    Submission: Receita Federal. Agency: Federal Revenue Service of Brazil (Receita Federal). It publishes the form and the requirements — check them before you submit. If the agency runs its own online service, it may be the most direct way.

    Official source: https://www.gov.br/receitafederal/pt-br/centrais-de-conteudo/formularios/declaracoes/declaracao-entrada-brasil/view

  • Fill in the PDF yourself

    Download the official form and fill it in by hand or in a PDF editor. It costs nothing; you work out every field, date format and script on your own.

  • Through an agent or intermediary

    A agent or lawyer fills in and often submits the document for you. Their fee applies; it helps when the case is complicated or you need someone to represent you.

  • With FoxDocs

    Cards with a hint for every field, in your language, or data from a photo of a document. Every value appears in its place on the original form, and you download the PDF. Filling the form yourself is free; the chat assistant and the AI check are priced per document. FoxDocs does not submit the document and does not give legal advice.

Who files it and where

  • a foreigner (or a Brazilian returning from abroad) who became a Brazilian tax resident from the date of entry;
  • the form is signed by hand and given to Receita Federal or to whoever asked you to confirm your tax status; check the filing channel on the Receita Federal website;
  • the form states no fee or deadline.

What the form asks

  • full name and nationality;
  • CPF, if you have one;
  • Brazilian ID number (RG, RNE or CRNM), if any, or passport number and issuing country;
