What this form is

TM.2 (ตม.2, “Information of Conveyance”) is an Immigration Bureau form in which the owner or master of a conveyance informs the immigration checkpoint that it is arriving in or departing from Thailand.

At the end the applicant asks for officials to inspect the conveyance at the stated date and time and undertakes to pay overtime fees and other expenses as stipulated by law.

Who files it

  • the owner or the master of the conveyance — the signature at the bottom of page 2;
  • in practice, yacht and ship owners and masters, and carriers clearing at a seaport or airport.

An agent may prepare the form, but the form itself is signed by the owner or master.

What the form asks for

  • arrival or departure (box in the header), place and date of writing — the year in the Buddhist Era (พ.ศ.);
  • the immigration checkpoint the notice is addressed to;
  • kind, name, registration number, flight number and call sign of the conveyance;
  • name of the owner;
  • on arrival — port and country of origin, port of arrival in Thailand, date and time;
  • on departure — port in Thailand, port and country of destination, date and time;
  • number of crew and passengers, including transfer and transit passengers within 12 hours.

What is usually attached

  • crew and passenger lists on the immigration forms;
  • passports of crew and passengers;
  • the vessel’s or aircraft’s registration papers and clearance from the last port.

The exact document list, deadlines and fees depend on the checkpoint — check with the immigration checkpoint or port authority in advance.
