What this document is

แผนที่แสดงสถานที่พำนักอาศัยและสถานที่ทำงาน is a one-page form on which a foreigner shows where they live and work. At the top is a header: name, nationality, home address, phone numbers, place of work. Below are two blank areas: "แผนที่บ้าน" (home map, with a north arrow) and "แผนที่สถานที่ทำงาน" (workplace map).

The Immigration Bureau publishes it as attachment 2.10 of the permanent residence (PR) application package. Many offices also ask for a similar residence map for marriage or retirement extensions — check with your office.

What FoxDocs fills in and what you do

  • FoxDocs fills in the whole header: name, nationality, house number and road, tambon and amphoe, province, postal code, home and mobile phones, workplace name and address, its phone, fax and mobile;
  • the two map areas stay blank: draw them by hand (landmarks, nearby roads, north arrow) or paste a printed map (e.g. from Google Maps) with the location marked;
  • if you do not work (retirement, marriage), leave the workplace lines and the second map empty or write "—".

When it is needed

  • permanent residence application (TM.9) — among the attachments, together with the personal information form;
  • extension of stay (TM.7) based on marriage or retirement — if the office asks for a residence map;
  • requirements for the map (drawing or printout, signatures) depend on the office.

Tips for the map

  • mark the house, the nearest main road, the soi and 2–3 landmarks (shop, temple, school, junction);
  • keep north at the top, as the arrow on the form shows;
  • for a condo, give the building name and floor; for work, the building name and entrance.

How to fill it in with FoxDocs

  1. Open the chat and write the address where you live and your place of work (if any).
  2. The assistant splits the address into the header boxes and asks for phone numbers.
  3. Download the PDF and draw or paste both maps.
  4. Attach it to the application (TM.9 or TM.7).

Frequently asked questions

Does FoxDocs draw the map itself?

No. FoxDocs fills in the text header; both maps are drawn by hand or a printed map is pasted in.

Can I paste a Google Maps printout?

Usually yes, if the house is marked and nearby roads are visible. Office requirements differ — check locally.

What do I write if I do not work?

Leave the workplace lines and the second map empty or put a dash.

Is the map needed for a marriage or retirement extension?

Many offices ask for a residence map for such extensions. It is required in the PR package (attachment 2.10).

In which language is the address written?

In Latin letters, so the officer can read it; house, moo and soi numbers as in the lease or house book.

Does it need a signature?

The form has no signature box. Some offices ask you to sign every page of attachments — check.
