What this document is
“Declaración anual de rentas del subsidio para mayores de 52 años” (DAR) is an official form of Spain’s Public Employment Service (SEPE). Recipients of the unemployment subsidy for people over 52 use it once a year to confirm they still meet the “carencia de rentas” condition — no own income above the set threshold.
The form is the April 2026 edition. Page one is the form itself; page two is SEPE’s guidance on which income counts and how to convert it into a monthly amount.
Who files it and where
- recipients of the over-52 subsidy — every 12 months, counted from the date the right to the subsidy arose or from its last resumption;
- the deadline is 15 working days from the day the 12 months are completed;
- if it is not filed on time, the subsidy payment and Social Security contributions are interrupted; a late filing resumes payment only from the date the declaration is submitted;
- the form is filed in person at a SEPE benefits office by appointment (cita previa — on the SEPE e-office or by phone), at any public registry or by post (correo administrativo); online via the SEPE e-office.
What the form asks for
- type of declaration: “no change in income” or “with a change in income”;
- given name, both surnames, DNI or NIE, date of filing;
- only if income changed — amounts for the calendar month before filing: employment, pensions and benefits, investments, property rental, professional and farming activities, inheritances and gifts, capital gains;
- also the cadastral value of non-rented property other than your home, and the value of securities, deposits and crypto;
- place and date of signing, name under the signature.
What to bring
- the completed and signed form;
- proof of identity (foreigners — a document showing the NIE: TIE or passport);
- proof of income if SEPE asks for it: payslips (nóminas), pension or benefit statements, bank statements.
If SEPE asks for documents, you have 15 days to provide them; otherwise the application is filed away (as stated on the form, citing R.D. 625/85).
How to fill it in with FoxDocs
- Tell the chat, in any language, whether your income changed since the last declaration and, if so, what you received last month.
- The assistant ticks the declaration type, writes your name, surnames and NIE in capitals and puts each amount on its line. It does not compute the TOTAL — add up the lines and write it by hand.
- Download the PDF, check it, sign it and file it with SEPE.
