What this document is

“Autorización para inscripción en el Padrón Municipal de Habitantes” is the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria council form by which the owner of a home, or the tenant under a lease, allows other people to register at that address. It is needed when the people registering have no housing document of their own — for example, you live with relatives or rent a room without a contract in your name.

The form is in Spanish, two A4 pages: the first has the boxes, the second lists the documents and the data protection notice. It is attached to the hoja padronal. FoxDocs writes the data into the official PDF fields without changing its layout.

Who submits it and where

  • the authoriser — the owner of the home or the tenant named on the lease — fills it in and signs; the signature must match their identity document;
  • the person registering submits it together with their hoja padronal to the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria council;
  • according to the form, the applicant is responsible for the authenticity of the authoriser’s signature and of the ID copy;
  • check the submission channels, appointments and current conditions on the council website.

What the form asks

  • the authoriser: full name, identity document number, phone;
  • their relationship to the home — one option only: owner (with the cadastral reference) or tenant;
  • for a tenant: the landlord and their ID, the lease end date, the date of the last rent receipt, the cadastral reference;
  • the home address in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: street, number, block, entrance, staircase, floor, door;
  • up to three people allowed to register: full name and document number;
  • the authoriser’s signature and the date “Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a … de … de …”.

What to bring

  • the completed and signed consent;
  • a copy of the valid identity document of the person who signed it;
  • the original valid identity documents of the people registering;
  • the original housing document (title deed or lease) — the requirements are listed on the council website;
  • for minors — the original libro de familia or birth certificate.

Frequently asked questions

When is this consent needed?

When the person registering is neither the owner nor the tenant named on the lease. The owner or tenant then authorises the registration with this sheet.

Who can sign it?

The owner of the home or the tenant named on the lease. Only one option is ticked and the matching section is filled in.

Does the authoriser have to come to the council?

The form does not require it: a copy of their ID is attached and the applicant answers for the signature. Check the current procedure with the council.

How many people can be listed?

The sheet has three rows. If there are more people, fill in another consent sheet.

Where do I find the cadastral reference?

The referencia catastral has 20 characters. It is on the IBI tax receipt, the deed, often the lease, and on sede.catastro.gob.es.

Does the consent replace the hoja padronal?

No. It is an attachment: the hoja padronal is filled in separately and the consent is submitted with it.
