What this document is

“Modelo de autorización del dueño de la propiedad” is the official template of Fuengirola town hall (province of Málaga). With it, the owner of a home gives written permission to register in the Padrón Municipal de Habitantes at their address people who have no document of their own for that home: no IBI receipt and no lease in their name.

One A4 page in Spanish. The owner gives their name, ID and the address; below are up to two people being authorised and where they were registered before. FoxDocs fills in the fields of the official PDF without changing its layout.

Who submits it and where

The owner fills in and signs the sheet; the people being registered sign below. It goes together with the registration sheet (Hoja Alta Padrón) in the “Alta en Padrón” procedure.

According to the town hall website, the procedure is in person only: Estadística – Padrón Municipal, Plaza de España 1, ground floor of the town hall. Weekdays 9:00–14:00: until 11:00 by queue ticket from the machine, from 11:00 by online appointment (cita previa).

What the form asks

  • Owner: full name, DNI, NIE or passport number.
  • Address of the home in Fuengirola: street, house number, floor, door.
  • Each person being registered (up to two): full name, document number, municipality and province of their previous registration.
  • Date: “Fuengirola a … de …” and the year.

What to bring

  • The signed authorisation: the owner and the people being registered sign by hand.
  • Copies of DNIs, NIEs or passports — this requirement is printed on the form itself.
  • The completed Hoja Alta Padrón and the documents listed for it on the town hall website.
  • Ask the Estadística office whether proof of ownership (such as the IBI receipt) is needed.

How to fill it in with FoxDocs

Tell the chat in any language who the owner is, the address and whom they authorise. The assistant asks for anything missing and writes the date with the month in Spanish. Download the PDF, print it and give it to the owner to sign. The town hall does not accept blank or incorrectly completed authorisations — this is also printed on the form.

Frequently asked questions

When is this sheet needed?

When you register at a home you do not own and do not rent under a lease in your name — for example, living with relatives or friends. The owner gives written permission.

Who signs the authorisation?

The owner of the home (Firma del Dueño) and the people being registered (Firma de los autorizados). Signatures are made by hand after printing.

How many people can be listed?

The sheet has two lines. If more people are registering, fill in another sheet.

Can it be submitted online?

According to the town hall website, the “Alta en Padrón” procedure is in person only, at the Estadística – Padrón Municipal office.

What goes in the “Municipio” and “provincia” boxes?

The Spanish town and province where the person is registered now. If they come from abroad and have never been registered in Spain, leave them empty.

Which copies should be attached?

Copies of DNIs, NIEs or passports, as stated on the form. The full list of documents for registration is on the procedure page of the town hall website.

What if the home is rented?

This template is for the owner. Ask the Estadística office about a tenant authorising: the registration sheet has a “Persona autorizante” section.
