What this document is
“Comunicación al Registro Central de Extranjeros de cambios de situación” is a form published by Spain’s Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration under “Modelos de comunicaciones”. A foreign national uses it to report that their nationality, home address or marital status has changed.
Under article 213 of Royal Decree 1155/2024, foreign nationals authorised to stay in Spain must report these changes to the police station (Comisaría de Policía) where they live within one month of the change, together with documents proving it. The ministry describes the form as a guide, not a mandatory model. FoxDocs fills in the ministry’s PDF fields without changing its text.
Who files it and where
- a foreign national holding a stay or residence permit in Spain whose nationality, home address or marital status has changed;
- for a minor or a legally incapacitated person, the legal representative (parent or guardian) files it;
- article 213 names the police station where you live; the “DIRIGIDA A” line on the form also allows the Oficina de Extranjería, and the option that does not apply is struck out;
- the form is submitted on paper: an original and a copy.
What the form asks for
- your details: given name, two surnames, nationality, NIE, passport number, date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy), town and country of birth, father’s and mother’s names, marital status (S/C/V/D/Sp);
- home address in Spain, phone and e-mail;
- legal representative, if any: name, NIF/NIE and capacity (father, mother, guardian);
- what has changed — nationality, marital status, home address — with the items that do not apply struck out;
- place and date of signing, signature, where the notice is submitted and the province.
What to bring
- the completed form in two copies (original and copy);
- documents proving the change, which article 213 requires — for example a marriage certificate or divorce decree, or the new passport after a change of nationality; check the exact list at the office;
- your passport and TIE card. Whether the card must be reissued after the change, and the fee for it, should be checked at the office or on the police website.
How to fill it in with FoxDocs
- Tell the chat in any language what has changed and give your new details.
- The assistant writes everything in capital letters, splits the date of birth into dd/mm/yyyy boxes, ticks the marital status and strikes out the items that do not apply.
- Download the PDF, check it, sign it by hand and submit it with a copy and the supporting documents.
