How to fill in PF declaration of no absence over 90 days: your options

FoxDocs is one of several ways. Choose the one that suits your case.

  • Official route

    Submission: Attached to a migration request filed with the Polícia Federal. Agency: Brazilian Federal Police (Polícia Federal). It publishes the form and the requirements — check them before you submit. If the agency runs its own online service, it may be the most direct way.

  • Through an agent or intermediary

    A agent or lawyer fills in and often submits the document for you. Their fee applies; it helps when the case is complicated or you need someone to represent you.

  • With FoxDocs

    Cards with a hint for every field, in your language, or data from a photo of a document. Every value appears in its place on the original form, and you download the PDF. Filling the form yourself is free; the chat assistant and the AI check are priced per document. FoxDocs does not submit the document and does not give legal advice.

What this document is

«Declaração, sob as penas da lei, que não se ausentou do Brasil por período superior a noventa dias a cada ano migratório» is a model of the Brazilian Federal Police (Polícia Federal, PF) from its «Declarações e Formulários» section. The declarant states, under penalty of law, not having been absent from Brazil for more than 90 days in each migratory year and having entered and left only through Brazilian migration control.

Under Decreto 9.199/2017 (art. 1, sole paragraph, VIII) a migratory year (ano migratório) is a twelve-month period counted from the date of first entry into Brazil. The form is in Portuguese, one page, with a warning about art. 299 of the Penal Code at the bottom.

Who files it and where

  • the declaration is signed by the foreign national whose data is on the form;
  • whether you need it depends on the basis of your request: see the document list for that basis on the PF website;
  • the signed declaration is attached to the PF request together with the other documents.

What the form asks

  • full name, nationality and marital status;
  • date and city of birth;
  • father’s and mother’s names (filiação);
  • city, state (UF) and date of signing; the signature is handwritten.

What to bring

  • the signed declaration;
  • the passport or CRNM used in the request;
  • the other documents on the PF list for your basis — check it on the PF website.

How to fill it in with FoxDocs

  1. Fill in the cards on this page — each field has a hint.
  2. The assistant takes data from your profile and asks only for what is missing; it writes the nationality in Portuguese itself.
  3. Download the PDF, check it, print it and sign by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fill in PF declaration of no absence over 90 days online?

Yes. FoxDocs fills in the original “PF declaration of no absence over 90 days” form online: answer cards with hints (or add a photo of a document), check the values on the form and download the PDF. You submit it yourself: Attached to a migration request filed with the Polícia Federal.

When is this declaration needed?

When it appears on the PF document list for your basis. Whether you need it is shown on the list for your basis on the PF website.

What is a migratory year?

Under Decreto 9.199/2017 (art. 1, sole paragraph, VIII) it is a twelve-month period counted from the date of first entry into Brazil — not the calendar year.

Do I have to list my trips?

No. The form has no fields for trips or dates: the declarant only states that in no migratory year was the absence longer than 90 days.

What does “only through Brazilian migration control” mean?

The declaration says all entries and exits went through Brazil’s border migration control. If that is not true, the declaration would be wrong — check with the PF before signing.

What happens if the information is false?

The form states that inserting false information in a document is a crime under art. 299 of the Brazilian Penal Code, punishable by imprisonment and a fine.

What language do I fill it in?

The form is in Portuguese; data is written in Latin block letters («letra de forma legível»), as the form requires. FoxDocs writes the country of nationality in Portuguese itself.

Does it need a signature?

Yes. The declarant signs it by hand on the «Assinatura do Declarante» line; FoxDocs does not add a signature.
