What this document is

“Autorização para regularização migratória para menor de idade” is a Brazilian Federal Police (Polícia Federal, PF) model from “Declarações e Formulários”. The father and/or mother authorize the migration regularization (regularização migratória) of their minor child before Brazilian authorities.

The form is in Portuguese and one page long; it must be filled in legible block letters (letra de forma legível). It carries a printed warning about Article 299 of the Penal Code (false statements in a document).

Who files it and where

  • the child's parents sign it: the form has places for the father's and the mother's signatures, and the text allows authorization by one (“AUTORIZO”) or both (“AUTORIZAMOS”);
  • the authorization is attached to the child's migration request filed with the PF together with the other documents;
  • whether the signatures must be notarized and whether one parent's signature is enough is not stated on the form or in the PF section — check on the authority's website or at the PF office for your legal basis;
  • this is not a travel authorization: according to the PF, rules on children's travel abroad are set by the National Council of Justice (CNJ).

What the form asks

  • father (PAI) and mother (MÃE) — each: full name, nationality, travel document number (passport or ID card), full address, bairro, city, state, CEP, phone;
  • the child: full name, date of birth, nationality, travel document number (passport or ID card);
  • city and UF, date (day, month, year); handwritten signatures of father and mother.

What to bring

  • the signed authorization;
  • the passports or ID cards of the child and parents whose numbers appear on the form;
  • other documents according to the PF list for the basis of the request;
  • check the exact procedure and fees on the PF website.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fill in PF consent for a minor's regularization online?

Yes. FoxDocs fills in the original “PF consent for a minor's regularization” form online: answer cards with hints (or add a photo of a document), check the values on the form and download the PDF. You submit it yourself: Attached to the child's migration request filed with the Polícia Federal.

What is this authorization for?

For the parents to authorize the migration regularization (regularização migratória) of their minor child before Brazilian authorities. It is attached to the child's request filed with the PF.

Who signs it?

The parents. The form has places for the father's and mother's signatures; the text allows authorization by one (“AUTORIZO”) or both (“AUTORIZAMOS”). Whether one signature is enough in your case, check with the PF.

Do the signatures have to be notarized?

Neither the form nor the PF section says so. Check the requirement on the PF website or at the office where you file the request.

Which parent document should I give?

A travel document: passport or identity card (cédula de identidade). The same applies to the child.

How is the address written?

Full address, then bairro, city, state, CEP and phone separately, as on the form's lines. FoxDocs splits the address into these fields for you.

Does this allow the child to travel abroad?

What happens if the statement is false?

The form warns that inserting false statements in a document is a crime under Article 299 of the Brazilian Penal Code, punishable by imprisonment and a fine.

In which language is it filled in?
